The
wiper blade pictured below is 16 inches long and is on a mini-school
bus. After being exposed to
the Texas heat, it took 7 lbs. of pulling pressure to release from the
windshield. The sticking was
caused by the spring pressure on the blade, which caused the blade to turn
on its side. This is a
chronic problem that occurs on all wiper blades.
The longer the
blade, the more
sticking surface it has. This
sticking can tear the blade, bend the wiper arm, bend the control arm,
strip the wiper motor cam gear, and or cause the wiper motor "short
out".
Bent or deflected wiper
blades will cause fluttering or skipping across the windshield resulting
in unsatisfactory cleaning of the windshield.
Wiper Buddy®
will eliminate all these
problems during the summer, winter, spring or fall, especially for those
vehicles that are parked, stored or used periodically.
