Double Wiper Arm AdjustmentMany larger vehicles have double wiper arms such as RV’s, School Buses and Transit vehicles. There is a patented adjustment for side to side movement of the wiper blade due to wiper deflection and heat from "super heated windshield", ice or simply upon wiper activation of which most people are unaware. This constant movement causes loosening of the attachment hole from metal fatigue and stress. The proper torque adjustment if needed must be decided after placement of the Wiper Buddy®
When the blade rests in an even parallel position to the windshield, this assures the blade will be in a balanced position and that the adjustment has been made properly. Further adjustment is not necessary. When adjustments have been accomplished, you benefit from the patented design that Wiper Buddy® offers. In the event of excessive wear, a small amount of silicone may be applied at the pivot to prevent the ounce or two of tipping of the wiper blade to keep it from touching the windshield or cover if necessary.
